Introducing the Next Chapter for the Krypton Series
The new Krypton 2 XQ50 thermal imaging monocular ushers in the next stage in the Krypton series evolution, with a sensitive 640x480, 12 µm, <40 mK NETD thermal sensor that guarantees crisp and incredibly detailed thermal imagery at an astonishing range of up to 2300m.
High Definition Thermal Imaging
The Krypton 2 XG50s highly sensitive, European-made 640x480, 12 µm, <40 mK NETD thermal sensor ensures a sharp, richly contrasted thermal image for enhanced identification of animals, their extremities, and even the smallest details, i.e. branches, leaves, grass, and terrain.
Extra-Long 2300m Detection Range
A powerful 50mm f1.0 fast aperture germanium objective lens, in combination with this thermal sensor, provides exceptional detection capabilities. A standard 1.8m tall object can be detected at an astonishing range of up to 1300m in complete darkness.
Full-HD AMOLED Display
The new FHD full-colour AMOLED display achieves a high contrast, wide dynamic range whilst remaining energy saving. The fast response time ensures a clear and smooth image when observing objects in motion or in freezing conditions.
Rugged Magnesium Alloy Housing
A rugged, lightweight magnesium alloy housing offers high structural strength, protecting the Krypton 2 XG50 from shocks and vibration loads; it is resistant to external mechanical, temperature, and climatic effects. The magnesium alloy housing effectively removes and dissipates heat from the electronic components of the thermal imager, increasing the operational stability of the device.
Up to 11 Hours of Operation
The quick-change rechargeable Li-Ion IPS7 battery pack provides enough power to keep the Krypton 2 XG50 operational for up to 11 hours. On just one single battery pack the unit can run effectively the whole night through, without the need to be replaced. Its quick-release and wireless design, along with its long operating time are the major highlights of this power system.
Ergonomic Bluetooth Remote Control
The Pulsar BT wireless Bluetooth remote control completely duplicates the buttons found on the side of the Krypton XG50 and is characterized by excellent ergonomics. The remotes buttons activate the most requested functions, while the device parameters of fine adjustment and menu navigation are provided by rotating or pressing the encoder.
The design, size and positioning of the buttons and encoder are customized for use with both bare hands and gloved hands. It takes minimum movements for a user to control the monocular and allows them to maintain maximum concentration on the observation process.
Adaptable User Interface
A new feature for Pulsar thermal imaging attachments is the graphical user interface adaptation. The device menu and status bar positions are scaled by the user to a comfortable view when changing the magnification of the day riflescope in order to see the current information about the attachment status and operate with the menu in a significant range of magnifications.
3 Levels of Sensitivity Amplification
Selection of the signal amplification level and new filtration algorithms with fine brightness and contrast adjustments offers the hunter great opportunities for long-range observation in diverse weather and temperature conditions. Amplification setting helps to define animals trophy features and ensures clear rendering of objects and background in the field of view.
Built-In Photo & Video Recorder
The Krypton 2 XG50 features a built-in video recorder, along with generous internal memory, to capture and store hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. One touch of a button is enough to take a photo of an interesting scene or to start recording video.
Stream Vision 2
Built-in Wi-Fi connects the device to an Android or iOS smartphone via the Stream Vision 2 mobile application. This opens up a wide range of options including wireless device software updates, real-time image transmission from the device to the smartphone screen, publication on social media of photo and video content captured by the device or transfer to messengers, remote control of digital device functions, and access to the latest news from Pulsar. Moreover, registered users receive 16 GB of cloud storage for photos and videos recorded with the device.
Dual Wi-Fi (2.4 / 5 GHz)
In the Krypton 2 XG50 thermal imaging monocular, the standard smartphone connection frequency range via a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channel is complemented with an effective 5 GHz range. The 5 GHz connection offers better bandwidth, a faster data transfer rate, noise immunity, and improved connection stability, resulting in more productive and easier operation of the thermal imager with a smartphone.
8 Colour Palettes
A choice of 8 colour palettes lets the user observe their field of view more effectively, allowing them to optimise the unit for specific tasks as well as react to changing observation conditions. White Hot, Black Hot and Red Hot are optimal for object detection, Rainbow and Ultramarine help increase chances for recognition & identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia and Violet are most suitable for long observation in the night.
IPX7 Waterproof
IPX7 waterproof-rated for protection from heavy rainfall, snow or other precipitation. The unit is designed to run flawlessly, even after submersion in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
Operation in Extreme Temperatures (-25 to +50°C)
The Krypton 2 XG50s housing, power unit, optics, and electronics are designed to work effectively in a wide range of temperatures, ensuring reliable and effective performance.
